- Bathing Suit and Towel on Tuesday, Weds and Friday
 

Monday June 24

9am - Parents Drop off at the lower level parking lot of Mt Harmony Church. First hike begins at Double Oak Farm.  This farm donates 75% of it's harvest to St. John Vianney's Interfaith Food Pantry that serves those most in need in Calvert County.

 

Our hike is the Parkers Creek Loop 3.8 miles. Includes the raft.

Tuesday June 25

9am - Parents Drop off at the lower level parking lot of Mt Harmony Church
Travel to Calvert Cliffs State Park in Lusby. Hike 4 miles round trip to the Chesapeake Bay. We will spend time considerable time on the water, fossil hunting and more. Plan to get wet! The cliffs were formed more than 10 million years ago and there have been many fossils identified from the miocene era.

Wednesday June 26
8am - NOTE THAT THIS IS AN EARLY DEPARTURE
Travel to Rod-n-Reel for charter boat trip with Captain Georgie of Tylers Tackle and Crab Shop.

We will go fishing on the Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuaries in the United States. The Bay supports more than 3,600 species of plants, fish and animals, including 348 species of finfish, 173 species of shellfish and over 2,700 plant species. 

Thursday June 27

Friday June 28

Travel to Solomons Island for charter boat trip with Captain Rachel Dean.

We will have an authentic experience of life through the eyes of a waterman. We will see what it takes to work aboard a contemporary commercial fishing vessel while at the same time learning about the variety of fishing and harvesting oysters.

Captain Georgie Klein of Bay Hog Charter Fishing Boat will take our group out from Rod-n-Reel on Wednesday.
